The JULES library initially consists of the converted non-COBOL routines created during the conversion process.
The migrated application can be conveniently extended to make use of todays additional available technologies. The JULES library facility can be used to create the bridges to these newer technologies. Depending on the nature of these technologies, either interfaces can be built to them or specific instances created of them. While not limited to Java implementations, Java is often the language of choice for the additional library functions.
